Hi! My name is Trina, and I am a third-year Ph.D. candidate in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). I am a part of Dr. Jessie Tanner’s lab 

as well as an official member of the Collaborative for Animal Behavior (CoLAB) here at UTK. I graduated from Vassar College in 2023 after spending 3 years in Dr. Megan Gall’s lab studying sensory ecology and physiology. Broadly, my goal is to integrate behavioral and physiological techniques to ask questions related to how signals evolve across contexts of animal acoustic communication systems.
